Pressbooks lets you easily format these items as front matter, which will appear prior to the main body.<\/p>\n<p>This chapter will explain:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How to create, edit, delete and change front matter items<\/li>\n<li>Types of front matter, and how to create them<\/li>\n<li>The order front matter will appear in your book<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>HOW FRONT MATTER WORKS<\/h2>\n<p>Front matter can include such things as an abstract, foreword, chronology or introduction, as well as the automatically generated title page and copyright page.<\/p>\n<p>Front matter items function similarly to chapters.
